Three Men suspected for kidnapping land in Osun court


Three accused persons have been remanded in court by an Osogbo Magistrates’ Court for alleged kidnapping.

The accused persons Olalekan Alawe, 39, Idris Ganiyu, 24, and Raji Hammed, 28 allegedly committed the offence around 5 pm at Testing Ground Area in Osogbo, Osun State capital.

The prosecutor, Temitope Fatoba, told the court that the accused persons kidnapped one Olajide Waidi and took him to an unknown destination.

He said the accused persons prevented any person entitled to the victim to have access to him in order not to discover where he was imprisoned.

The said offence contravened section 364 (2), 516 Criminal Code CAP 34 vol 11 Law of Osun State 2002.

The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the allegations levelled against them.

K.I Bowola the defence counsel prayed the court to grant bail to his clients in most liberal terms, assuring to bring a reasonable surety.

The Magistrate Isola Omisade in his ruling remanded the accused persons and requested for a formal bail application.

February 11th  2021, was fixed for another hearing.
