Chief of Air Staff Abubakar sends message to Nigerians



The immediate past Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Sadique Abubakar on Tuesday stated he was leaving the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fulfilled.

Sadique made the assertion during a Fly Out parade organized for his exit by the Nigerian Air Force at NAF Base in Abuja.

Sadique who acknowledged God for his help while in service, stated within the last 5 years, the Nigerian Air Force, has been repositioned and restructured into a highlyprofessional and disciplined force.”

President Muhammadu Buhari, last week, approved the resignation of the nation’s Service Chiefs including Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin; Chief of Military Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.

Buhari subsequently appointed MajorGeneral Leo Irabor as Chief of Defence Workers; MajorGeneral I. Attahiru as Chief of Military Staff; Rear Admiral A. Z. Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff; and Air-Vice Marshal I.O Amao, Chief of Air Staff.
