Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu”s new year goodwill message to Somolu residents


I hearthily welcome you all to this new year, a year filled which much expectations and expansions, the year 2021.

First and foremost, it’s paramount that we extend worthy glorification to Almighty GOD who spared our lives throughout the year 2020 and grants unto us the privileged to begin this new year 2021 in good health and happiness.

Across the globe, year 2020 proved to be the toughest year ever witnessed, with respect to the death threats posed by the ravaging Covid-19 pandemic which claimed so many lives and almost ripped us all of our economic as a nation.

Above all, we still have the wonderful opportunity to rescheduled our strategic plan, reach out significantly to one another as we hope for better.

We pray GOD forgives all the bereaved, grant their souls a perfect rest and comfort their various families the fortitude to bear their various losses.

We appreciate all the residents as well as other stakeholders for their valuable cooperations, Our administration before now has enjoyed enormous and satisfactory support from your end, and in 2020, we were indeed overwhelmed with your tower of strengths.

A responsive and responsible government is expected to meet up with the needs of her citizens to build harmony, unrestrained trust and synergy which would further ensure more sustainable development in it’s community. Having said that, we won’t relent in our efforts to fast-track the construction of additional infrastructural projects.

In fulfillment of our promises, our on-going projects across the sectors will be completed in few weeks and we shall also commence new sets to aim for economic values and commercial exposure.

To our amiable Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Aduragbemi Sanwoolu whom we can’t denied of special honor and appreciation for his tremendous contributions toward achieving the objectives of his themes agenda in our local government and the state at large, despite the difficulties which almost dent the image of our dear Lagos, the centre of excellence.

In the spirit of the celebration and gratitude, we acknowledged our progressive leaders, community leaders, business men and women; and of course the youths for treading the path of success with us. It has been a wonderful journey so far. We will definitely achieve more in this new year.

Let’s celebrate moderately and be cautious of our movement, because we must comply with the directives of the Lagos State Government on Covid-19 second wave. Our lives are important, so also are the lives of our families and loved ones.
