Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly has identified financial implication of contesting elections in Nigeria as a barrier in pursuit of Not Too Young to Run, noting that it takes strong risk appetite and determination for young people to sacrifice their source of living for political aspirations.
Danladi-Salihu disclosed this while addressing Journalists during the Kwara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Capacity Building Workshop, with the theme Not Too Young to Run, the 9th Kwara legislative experience, in Ilorin the State capital.
The thirty-five-year-old Speaker maintained that youths must remain united in order to realize their next level of leadership desire
Meanwhile, the Guest Speaker at the event, Professor Hassan Salihu advised the Speaker to continue to maintain the independence of the Legislature, be pro-people, and further seek the stability of the entire State.
