Gambari, ministers, others arrive Port Harcourt for south-south Assembly

A meeting of Federal Government delegation led by the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari with South-South leaders is Now in progress at the Government House, Port Harcourt.

The meeting which is aimed at taking stock of the damage done by the hijacked End SARS protesters was botched last week once the Presidential delegation failed to show up as a result of an emergency national security meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Villa.

Stakeholders from the South-South region including governors, traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth, and women groups assembled to ventilate their views and insecurities on issues bordering on the underdevelopment of the region.

The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Adamu, Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Minister of Niger-Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, Minister of State for Labour, Festus Keyamo, Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed among others make up the Presidential delegation.
