Stakeholders Reacts to insecurity problems in Edo state, as over 20 youths killed.

Cults war’s in Edo State has taken a new dimension as well over 20 youths, ACP, and 2 police officers were shot dead in Benin City.

Following the EndSars protest in Benin city, which was reported to have been hijacked by hoodlum has taken another phase in the past two weeks, cults wars, robbers have seen it as an advantage in robbing innocent peoples of their properties and made life unbearable for them, this has drowned the attention of Stakeholders who have expressed a different view on the matter.

Former ADC governorship candidate in Edo state, Mabel Oboh has express concerns over the recent situation of insecurity rocking the state in the past two weeks which led to the killing of over 20 youths, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in charge of the Area Command and two other senior police officers were also shot across the city center.

 

Oboh said the issue of insecurity in Edo is not very good and called on Governor Godwin Obaseki to address the problem in an effort to save lives and properties, bring peace and order to the state.

Oboh made this statement while receiving an award in Benin city.

On his part the state publicity secretary of the People  Democratic Party PDP  Chris Nehikare noted that insecurity challenges that as taking over the state in for some weeks is so bad, which have created fear among resident, this should not be encouraged by any bodies, he appreciates governor Obaseki for his actions to set up Joint Task Force to check the insecurity problem created by some cults groups.
